Afghan Muslims in India convert to Christianity after CAA bill came into force

The CAA bill passed by Lok Sabha on 8 January 2019. After receiving approval from the President of India Ram Nath Kovind on 12 December 2019, the bill assumed the status of an act.

According to this Act, they ordered the peoples especially the Muslims who didn’t have the complete documentation to leave India. Thousands of Muslims did protest against it but still, they standing on hold.


Now India’s intelligence agencies have revealed in a recent report that Afghan Muslims and Rohingya refugees have started converting to Christianity after the controversial citizenship law came into force.


 Central agencies have also briefed the government in this regard and said that so far 25 cases of conversion of Afghan citizens to Christianity have come to light.
