Controversial bill to impose sanctions on Taliban supporters introduced in US Senate
Washington: A controversial bill has been introduced in the US Senate regarding sanctions on those who support the Afghan Taliban.
The bill would provide safe havens, financial support, intelligence, medical facilities and logistics to the Taliban. In particular, those who helped the Taliban against the attack and resistance in the panj Sher Valley will also be identified.
The head of the US Central Command, General Mackenzie, has warned that difficulties for Pakistan could increase in the coming days.
There is also a possibility of increasing pressure on Pakistan from Afghanistan, he said, adding that the US military wanted to stay in Afghanistan.
