The decision to ban all kinds of processions on the occasion of Yum Ali
ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to ban all processions in view of the threat of the spread of coronavirus.
According to sources, an important meeting was held at the NCOC on the occasion of Yum Ali, which was chaired by the Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar and National Coordinator Lieutenant General Hamoodul Zaman Khan.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid, Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri, Special Assistant for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, Provincial Secretaries and representatives of law enforcement agencies participated through video link.
According to the NCOC, the meeting has decided to ban all kinds of processions in view of the fear of the spread of covid across the country and especially in major urban centers.

Under the auspices, the forum emphasized the need to involve religious scholars and community leaders at the provincial and district levels in implementing decisions.
