Order to withhold the salary of a government employee who did not get corona vaccine in Sindh

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed the Finance Department to withhold the salary of any government employee who does not get vaccinated against corona. A meeting of the Corona Virus Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. In which the situation of Corona in the province and other issues were discussed.

During the briefing of the meeting, Health Secretary Dr. Kazim Jatoi said that 26812 passengers from outside were tested from May 27 to June 2, out of which 55 tested positive for Corona. All four have been placed in isolation, and the 14 people they came in contact with are also being tested.

In the last 30 days, 392 deaths have occurred in Sindh. Out of 392 deaths, 238 were on ventilators. 73 people died in their homes. At present, 77 patients are on ventilators out of which 74 are in Karachi. From 27th May to 2nd June, there were 21% new cases and 20 deaths in East Karachi, 12% cases and 15 deaths in Central Karachi, 9% in South Karachi, 8% in Karachi West, and 7 deaths. There were 21% new cases and 20 deaths in Karachi East till now.

During the briefing, it was informed that 57541 vaccines were administered on June 2, so far 15505053 doses of the covid vaccine have been administered in Sindh.

The Sindh Chief Minister directed the Finance Department to suspend the salaries of government employees who do not get vaccinated from July. Chief Minister Sindh appealed to the people to get vaccinated at vaccination centers with their identity cards.

He directed 300 primary health centers across the province to set up vaccination centers. 60,000 daily while 90 private hospitals were given a target of 10,000 doses daily.
