Cricketer Shahid Afridi has taken on the task of reopening a library in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tank area, which has been closed for 15 years.
According to information, a user named Ehsan Tipu on Twitter shared photos of the plight of the only library Tank on social media, with the message, “This is the only library in the entire Tank region become a dump. Needs to be restored soon.”
When Shahid Afridi saw pictures of the library on social media, he was heartbroken to see the state of the public library, which had been closed for 15 years.
Shahid Afridi said:
“Libraries are a source of information, and for young people our future. It is our job to focus on their education. The Shahid Afridi Foundation will work together to reopen the library and improve its status and take immediate action in this regard.”
